When Adolf Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany on January 30, 1933, he quickly began gaining power and transforming the German government into a dictatorship. In less than a month of being appointed Chancellor the government building on Germany was set on fire. Through many of these types of actions, Hitler quickly established a totalitarian regime under his control.
