8 mar 1917 año - Women's Textile Strike
Descripción:
In Petrograd, women textile workers arranged a city-wide strike. Throughout the next five days, people were rioting over fuel and bread shortages. Over 200,000 workers would participate in these riots, demanding an exit from the war and a new form of government. This insurrection would get even worse when soldiers of the Russian military, commanded to gun the protestors down, would eventually come to defect and side with them in agreement with their demands.
