Conditions on the eastern front were getting worse and Tsar Nicholas II was a detriment on the battleground. Protests and riots were common in Russia too at the time, such as the March Revolution. On account of his military failures, the civil unrest he had caused, and his love for his country, he abdicated the throne on March 15 in an attempt to improve Russia, which he valued above all else.Añadido al timeline:
