Jamie Leighton, Senior Engineer on KSP2, explains the new resource system in KSP2 which will be able to keep track of the utilization/ production of resources for every ship/colony everywhere in the Galaxy. This will be very important as to not get in the way of a players exploration by have to monitor or babysit a vessel/colony's production of a certain resource. It can now happen in the background while not even on the active vessel or colony.
