Soldier: 76 heads to Egypt to track down a lead on a bounty hunter that had been causing Talon some problems, which is in fact Shrike, whom he suspects is really Ana. At Giza, he is given what limited information a man named Abdul Hakim has on the target. When his contact turns on him, he incapacitates the man, and heads to Hakim's compound, where Ana has been waiting for days for Hakim to make an appearance.

Listening to a guard's radio, he a voice that he recognizes as belonging to Gabriel Reyes, now the Reaper. Morrison vaults the compound's wall, incapacitating another guard, and demands to know where Reyes is. Before he can get a response, the Reaper takes him by surprise and shoots him in the back. Before he can finish him off, both are shot by Ana's biotic rifle, administering a neurotoxin to the Reaper and a restorative one to Morrison.

Morrison and Reyes engage in a fist-fight, and while Reyes is able to best him again. Before Reyes can take him out, Ana distracts him and engages him. She manages to unmask him, forcing him to retreat, and she's disturbed by his visage, as well as his parting words, in which he reminds her that Overwatch is responsible for their suffering.

After the Reaper retreats, Ana and Morrison have a strained reunion, Morrison aggrieved that she has never contacted him to let her know she's still alive, while Ana possesses no interest in Morrison's personal war against Talon. Nonetheless, Ana agrees to help him, but asks what Morrison will do when the fighting is over. Morrison responds that he's a soldier, and that his war will never end.

Hearing the sound of police sirens, they leave the site, staying out of sight. Still suffering from his wounds, Morrison passes out, forcing Ana to take him to her base in the Necropolis and lets him rest in a military cot. When he wakes up, they discover that his wounds are having trouble healing, despite his enhanced healing abilities, leaving them to wonder if Reaper's shells utilized a biological agent.

Ana suggests contacting Dr. Angela Ziegler, but Morrison refuses to see her (or any other doctors), reflecting that Ziegler wouldn't want to see them. He states that he intends to take Talon down, but needs Ana's help in doing so. Ana tells him to rest, and while he objects, he has no choice--Ana drugged the tea he was drinking, making him fall unconscious.
