Personal History
It was the first day of school, and as I walked into my kindergarten classroom for the first time, I remember looking around the room for my name on one of the tables. All the parents were with their kids helping get organized, and helping the teacher prepare for the upcoming school year. When the teacher finally told the parents it was time to leave I remember pretty much every kid, including me started bawling, and pleading their parents to not leave. We did nothing that day, because what are you supposed to teach to sad kindergarteners, so we got to build marble mazes out of wooden blocks, and eat snacks for the rest of the day.
