The Stone Age was from 50,000 BC to 3,000 BC. During the time period from 30,000 BC to 6,000 BC the first metals started to be used. In the Stone Age, the use of metal was scanty, and the most common building materials were made out of wood and stone. Much of this history is undocumented, though some archaeological evidence persists.
