Rabbinic Judaism (1 jan 66 ano – 1 jan 200 ano)
Descrição:
After the Romans took over Jerusalem, the Jewish people fell under a lot of hardships which eventually led them to revolt in 66 CE where they took over the second Jewish temple that was created.
The romans would then retaliate with a five-month siege in 70 CE where they disbanded the Jewish resistance.
Rabbi Yohanan ben Zakkai persuaded the Romans to move the Jewish people to the town of Yavneh where the Jewish people maintained their faith and redefined themselves.
The Jewish people needed a group of leaders who could rebuild Judaism so they hired a new group of rabbis who created an interpreted group of laws known formerly as the Mishnah but later as the Talmud.
By 100 CE, the Midrash was made which helped present the problems found in the Bible and tries to show explanations for them.
The interpretation of the Midrash was eventually converted to the law and by 200 CE, the Prince Judah had created a body of commentary on the law to help guide the Jewish people.
