Unification Period of Japan (1 jan 1551 ano – 1 jan 1603 ano)
Descrição:
After nearly a century of political instability and warfare, Japan was on the verge of unification by Oda Nobunaga, to rule central Japan, but in 1582 Oda was assassinated by one of his generals. This in turn provided Toyotomi Hideyoshi, who became one of Oda's most trusted generals, with the opportunity to establish himself as Oda's successor. When Toyotomi died in 1598 without leaving a capable successor, the country was put into turmoil again, and this time Tokugawa Ieyasu took controll by defeating Toyotomi's son Hideyori. After this Tokugawa Ieyasu received the title of shogun from the Emperor.
