On February 22, the regiment launched an offensive against the rebels in the Dogal gorge. A rebel detachment of up to 20 thousand people led by Amangeldy Imanovresisted. The rebels were poorly armed, the main armament consisted of cold weapons (ax, swords, spears and clubs) and a small number of rifles and rifles. In the battle against the superior punitive squadron, the commander’s talent of Amangeldy Imanov, who used special tactics of warfare, was particularly evident. The standoff ended February 24-25, 1917. The regiment of Colonel Turgenev, having loaded in 45 sledges of the dead and wounded, retreated towards the city of Turgai. Dogal battle strengthened the ranks of the Turgai rebels and showed the fighting efficiency of the rebels in the war against the enemy. Memorial plaques are set up at the battle site.
