The Seven Years’ War was a war started by Britain and French for control of the Ohio Valley, and resulted in French expulsion from North America. This was could not have happened without colonization from European powers and would ultimately end with the Treaty of Paris (1763). The war, importantly, lead to increased taxes on the American colonists, which were widely unpopular and were protested for years to come.
