The growing militarism of India in the 2010s, especially in the fields of nuclear technology and military robotics, caused the nations of Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, and the Maldives to form the 'South Asian Protection Front', or SAPF. During a border scuffle between India and Bangladesh where some Bangladeshi soldiers and civilians were killed, the SAPF declared war on the India. This was a very uphill battle, and India was able to capitulate Pakistan, the leader of the SAPF, in December of 2016. As part of the peace, India annexed all of Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Bhutan. It would have annexed all of Pakistan too, but partial occupation by Western troops as part of the War on Terror and growing condemnation by western nations caused India to only take its claims in Kashmir from Pakistan. After the war, the government of India proclaimed the creation of the "Greater Indian State".
