Description:

Rebellion against King Louis XIV that caused the king to flee. Caused by the Queen Regent Anne of Austria’s unpopularity. When Louis XIV declared himself of age in 1651, the rebellions decreased in number. He had crushed the rebelling nobles by 1653, allowing the government to centralise at this point.
