Art movement lead by values of Greenburg, with emphasis on the formal qualities of art, colour, logic, rationality, complete abstraction and with lack of symbols, politics, or opinions. Thre major streams; Post-Painterly Abstraction, Hard Edged Abstraction, and Minimalism. Associated with the artists Frakenthaler, Stella, Kelly, and Judd.
