Elizabeth was the daughter of Henry VIII and she was the last one of the five monarchs of the House of Tudor. She became queen in 1558, she was twenty-five years old. Elizabeth was the Queen of England and Ireland from 17 November 1558 until her death on 24 March 1603. Sometimes people called her The Virgin Queen or Good Queen Bess. Elizabeth I wanted to create peace in a broken nation and tried to blend Catholism with Portestantism, one of her first actions as queen was the establishment of an English Protestant church. She failed in the end and she had to try to rebuild the nation. She was kind and very smart. she was interested in Economy, art, fashion. elizabeth had yet to marry so she was virgin. She did not want to marry because she does not want somebody else to share or take the power exept her. At 1603 the queen Elizabeth died.
