The Meiji Restoration began in 1868 in japan. The Japanese Industrialization began because it was caused by Matthew Perry, which came to Japan with an army. He forced japan to open up the trade. Japan had to open the trade because they didn't have military power. They later realized that they were behind compared to other countries. Later, Japan created a military to protect their country, national currency
and public infrastructures. They did that in just 10 years.
