New colonies were founded during these years such as Pennsylvania, New York and Quebec, mercantilism played a huge role in the economy of each of the new colonies, so they acquired as much gold and silver possible to ensure total dominance by having the most wealth in the world. The African American population in the colonies exploded through The Middle Passage due to the need of labor and race for success. African American culture invaded the colonies, bringing new customs to the colonists to get used to and explore.
