The type of English that existe during this period is not similar to the kind of English la today know of. The grammar was different as well as the pronacation. During this particular time England was under the rule of the Roman empire.

One famous piece of work that was made during this era was Beowulf a story from the Nordic countries. The story is about a hero that fights of three enemies. Sadly he dies later on.
