Descrição:

The killing of 150-300 Native Americans by U.S. soldiers near the area of Wounded Knee Creek in Southwestern South Dakota. There were about 200 Oglala Lakota and followers of the American Indian Movement (AIM) seized and occupied the town of Wounded Knee. This marked the final conflict between the Sioux and the U.S. Army.
