Churchill becomes Prime Minister on Friday, May 10, 1940, was one of the most dramatic days in British history. Winston Churchill, a former British Politician, army officer and a writer, took over as the British prime minister after the resignation of Neville Chamberlain. Churchill was known for his military leadership abilities and successfully led Britain through World War Two. Churchill came in as PM when Britain lost hope in the war. But with his speeches and determination, he brought Britain back on track against the Germans. Without him as Britain's Prime Minister, the allies may not have won this war.
