The forgotten war was a clash of ideals that all started when soviet-backed North Korean soldiers forced their way through the 38 parallel and tried to seize the south. Fighting went on for another 3 years until the Soviets, the Chinese, and the Americans withdrew. The war is technically not over yet, with both parties not signing a peace agreement.
