1990's the age of welth (1 jan 1990 ano – 31 dez 1999 ano)
Descrição:
the 90's is considered one of the most wealthy points in film history and one of the most expensive as film stars were costing more and more to higher, audiences expected more from film than ever before so production cost became more and more expensive and there was a lot of experimentation with film and a reliance on sfx and costly market recherche of what would be the best thing to produce next and wider marketing campaigns e.g.toy lines and promotional clips this all made 90s Hollywood one of the most creative and successful era of film making ever. CGI had a notable upgrade at this point the most obvious being the liquid mettle t-1000 in terminator 2: judgement day James Cameron is one of meany notable directors allowed the expensive privilege of working with CGI in the 90s as studios weren't just going to allow anyone to use this expensive new method in there films they had to prove themselves first for example Steven Spielberg had already made studios hits like jaws and close encounter before he was really allowed to use CGI in his films and boy did he use it as Spielberg made the first fully CGI rendered creature in Jurassic park in 1993 really pushing CGI and practical effects to there limits. however even with the large boom of studio lead films this did not kill the independent film maker quite the opposite thanks to Miramax and the the winsteen brothers they flourished as these company would distribute them in multiple ways either just on vhs or in cinemas originally packaging films with pizzas leading to thy first indie blockbuster in Sex, Lies and Videotape and i belive this period in time was crucial for forming film in to the gugernaught it is today as this period really created the first blockbusters and defined how the industry would be from this point forth for better or for worse
