Contemporary age (25 set 1800 ano – 25 set 2000 ano)
Descrição:
Contemporary Age is the name that designates the historical period included between the Declaration of Independence of the United States or the French Revolution, and the present. Understand, if we start from the French Revolution, a total of 228 years, between 1789 and the present. In this period, humanity underwent a demographic transition, concluded for the most advanced societies (the so-called first world) and still ongoing for the most part (the underdeveloped countries and the newly industrialized countries), which has led its growth beyond the limits imposed by nature historically, achieving the generalization of the consumption of all kinds of products, services and natural resources that have elevated for a large part of human beings their standard of living in a previously unsuspected manner, but that have sharpened the social and spatial inequalities and leave serious environmental uncertainties for the near future.
