Descrição:

Cause: Two main causes of the Pueblo Revolution were religion and forced labor. Spanish soldiers/priests brought upon a harsh labor system called “Encomienda”. They also prevented Pueblo Indians from worshiping their gods.
Effect: The revolt created a setback in the expansion of the Spanish empire. Many Christian objects and churches were destroyed.
