Nanking massacre (0 h 28 m, 13 dez 1937 ano – 23 h 31 m, 17 jan 1938 ano)
Descrição:
The Japanese Imperial Military occupied Nanking for 6 weeks. During this period of time, the military killed approximately 300,000 people and raped 20,000 women. Mass executions were held in which the military marched 10,000 people to the bank of the Yangtze river, and shot them so they would float down the river to Shanghai. The Japanese Imperial Military decided not to take prisoners because they did not have the provisions to feed any prisoners. They used the people of Nanking for live bayonet practice and they had public executions. The rape of women happened in broad daylight, with girls as young as 12. Once the rape had ended, the soldiers would shoot the women (gvsu).
