Flourished from roughly 3200 to 1800 BCE on the north-central coast of Peru. This is the earliest known civilization in the Americas, noted for its complex urban settlements, large earthen mounds, and use of textiles, all before the widespread use of pottery.

The first Known civilization in the Americas dispersed somewhere around the time of 1800 BC. Incoming environmental changes caused the downfall of the first major known American Civilization.
