Emperor Qarzob III dies without an heir.

A regency council is formed, with six powerful individuals taking power in the Empire. To the surprise of everyone, they are loyal to Empress Ceyatria I when she grows old enough to take the throne, and do not dispute the sucession.

They are rewarded with keeping their positions of power and the Empire prospers from highly competent rule. Nevertheless, Ceyatria rewrites succession statutes to bar commanders of the Five Armies from future regencies.
