Taspern was the eldest son of Viktor I and inherited both Middle and South Heilig on the deaths of his father and uncle. Taspern's reign would be dominated by The Great Jihad which occupied most of his time. He would lead his troops valiantly in the desert earning the respect of his men, and the epithet sandwyrm. However, his focus on the war in the desert left the Kingdom in great economic turmoil. This would lead to his deposition and exile after his position became untenable.
