Adam Smith focused on economic affairs and rights and held that the forces of supply and demand should dictate the market, not the government.
1. Law of Self-Interest (Individuals in society should be allowed to work for their own self-interest, not the interest of the government as seen in Mercantilism)
2. Law of Supply and Demand (The forces of supply and demand will determine market prices and so the government or guilds do not need to get involved.)
3. Law of Competition (Advocated for a free market)
