Wilson Fisk claims leadership of the Rigoletto family. He quickly consolidates his power by arranging the murders of the heads of the other families. The so-called "Bloody Summer" ends in September with the dissolution of the Five Families. While Fisk would suffer repeat attacks over the next six years none were successful. By 1975, Wilson Fisk controlled or had a piece of all organized crime in New York, New Jersey, and Philadelphia.
