World War II/Holocaust (1939-1945) (1 jan 1939 ano – 1 jan 1945 ano)
Descrição:
In 1939, the outbreak of World War II was precipitated by Germany's invasion of Poland. During the war, the Nazi regime under Adolf Hitler initiated the systematic extermination of six million European Jews, known as the Holocaust. Jews were rounded up and sent to concentration camps, where they faced appalling conditions, including disease, starvation, and forced labor. As the genocide escalated, the Nazis implemented mass shootings and gas chambers to efficiently murder millions of Jewish victims. Following Germany's defeat in 1945, many Nazi leaders were prosecuted for war crimes, with some facing execution or imprisonment, although others evaded accountability altogether.
