The Battle of the Bulge started on the 16th of December, 1944 and end on January 25th, 1945. The Bulge was Germany's last major offensive campaign. The Bulge was a surprise attack on allied forces. After the battle was over the Allied won but at great costs. This is considered largest and the bloodiest battle of WW2.
