Descrição:
"Since Murong people were by
this time widely scattered across north China, there was also a tenuous Western Yan
(385–394) regime in the northwestern area of Xi’an, and also a Southern Yan (400–
410) in modern Shandong. The Later Yan dynasty was, furthermore, succeeded by a
so-called Northern Yan (409–436), whose rulers were no longer drawn from the
Murong house, but rather from Xianbei-ized Chinese. Despite this proliferation of
short-lived Yan dynasties in the late fourth and early fifth centuries, however, the
embers of Murong Xianbei independence were by this time in the process of being
engulfed by the rising power of their relatives, the Tuoba Xianbei."
