Specifically known as being the greatest piano virtuoso of his time, Liszt was already attached to the piano at age 5, and he soon began composing at the age of only 8. With his prodigious talent, the local Hungarians who saw Liszt perform at Sopron and Pozsony even paid for his musical education for the next six years, as because of how mesmerized they were of his talent. From that age, Liszt began to tour around Europe to perform for many solo recitals and chamber musics, until in 1826, his father died of typhoid fever, in which he returned back to Paris, where he mainly started to teach and compose.
