Operation Rolling Thunder was America's bombing campaign against North Vietnam during the Vietnam War. It was introduced by President Johnson and was meant to show to North Vietnam America's air supremacy. The bombings lasted nearly 3 years until it ended in 1968 due to its ineffectiveness.
