Why did the British bomb Alexandria?
The reasons that the British sent warships to Alexandria were to protect the Suez Canal and prevent any anarchy, and it was to protect the interests of British investors with assets in Egypt

14,000 people dead or injured
10 officers and 233 men were killed, 60 officers and 1,193 were wounded and 3 officers and 29 men missing,
the targets of all the bombs were the saint churches and a Coptic church located all through he city.
