Baron de Montesquieu (1 jan 1689 ano – 1 jan 1755 ano)
Descrição:
Baron de Montesquieu was born into a very wealthy family. His father was in the military, and his mother was a very wealthy landowner. When she died, he was only seven, but he inherited all of her wealth. He wanted to be a writer, and he wrote The Persian Letters. This book was about some Persian travelers going through France, and pointing out all the problems of the French government. All of Montesquieu's ideas were later put together in a book called The Spirit of Laws. Montesquieu didn't like the idea that one individual had all the power, and he strongly believed in the separation of powers.
