Prague Spring (5 jan 1968 ano – 21 ago 1968 ano)
Descrição:
Prague Spring was when the First Secretary of Czechoslovakia, Alexander Dubcek, introduced a number of reforms such as freedom of speech, travel abroad, and decrease of secret police. When this occurred many called for more radical reforms and removal from the Soviet bloc. This caused the Red Army to invade Czechoslovakia and crush the reform movement. This event reaffirmed to the West that the people of Eastern Europe were oppressed and denied the democracy that existed in Western Europe.
