Following Nadir Shah's death 1737, many tribes and confederations tried to establish control over Iran. After 1779 Agha Mohammad Khan, from the Qajar tribe in northern Iran and he created the Qajar dynasty. It is important to know that the Safavids and Qajars didn't have religious or political prestige over each other. The dynasty was also ranked people based on class.
