After the battle of the bulge, the war in Europe was coming to a close. And in late march 1945, the Allies came across the Rhine river into Germany. On February 13th 1945 British and American bombers launched multiple air attacks on a German City Southeast or Berlin. And by April 25th 1945 the soviets had surrounded the capital and were pounding the city with artillery fire. Lastly once Germany had finally had enough, General Eisenhower accepted the surrender of the Germany third reich on may 7th 1945.
