This battle was between the United States and Japan. This was the last major battle of WW2 and was one of the bloodiest.Japan had 110,000 soldiers lost, many by suicide and America had over 49,000 casualties. American forces ended up winning by overwhelming Okinawa after bombing 2 Japanese cities. Japan ended up surrendering marking the end of WW2.
