Iranian people overthrow the US-backed Dictator, the Shah, and then extremists form a hardline Islamic theocracy. Ayatollah Khomeini became the head of the government, and his Republic Guard created a police force that have been brutally cracking down on what they have seen as anti-Islamic ideas.
