Who: Iraq ( Saddam Hussein )and Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the US ( George Bush and General Schwarzkopf ) and other AlliesWhat: Iraq invades Kuwait and within a couple of days Kuwait was occupied and the Iraqi forces were heading towards Saudi Arabia's border. The US steps in with fighter plains. In January the air war begins lasting 42 days. Then at the end of February Allied ground assaults start, Iraq leaves Kuwait igniting approximately 700 oil wells.

When: August 2 1990 Iraq invades Kuwait and February 28 1991 conclusion of war declared after 100hrs.
Why: Iraq thought the underground oil along the border with Kuwait was theirs, and that Iraq's economic losses were because Kuwait reduced the world oil prices
