Luna had gone through very tough times, and it had now been put under the Confederation of Lunar States, which was not to last as Earth finally attacked and took down the Lunar government. The Lunar Confederacy tried to fight dirty, attempting and failing to trigger Kessler syndrome and using its still somewhat superior information warfare divisions to cause mass chaos on Earth, with the Confederates managing to orchestrate a large misinformation attack that led to rebellions around the world for around a year. This was for naught, and after decades of war on the moon, Earth’s old nemesis had fallen.
