Defeated Richard III in the civil war between Lancaster House and York. Started the Tudor dynasty. He created a strong monarchy where aristocrats could no longer have personal armies. Used diplomacy to avoid wars and gave little taxes to the middle class to earn their favor. Was another example of a new monarch.
