The main enemy of the Red Army (the Bolsheviks) that rose up and rebelled during the Russian Civil War was the White Army, made up of the conservatives. However, they were crushed in just a few years by the Bolsheviks, headed by Trotsky, by 1921. Some of the reasons for why they failed were: their lack of political and military direction, the fact that most of them just wanted money, they were usually separated, and they were less developed.
