Sam and his mum, Riley live with his grandparents, Kathleen and Hector in their house in Northumberland.

Sam spends his days with Kathleen and Hector, flying kites, baking, gardening, helping to build model aeroplanes with his grandfather, and reading with Kathleen. It’s the happiest time of his life.
