Then those regional rulers gave some land to their supporters (feudal).-When Wu died, the Duke of Zhou ruled and was later celebrated by Confucius as an ideal administrator who selflessly served as regent for his young nephew at a delicate time for the new dynasty, then dutifully returned to power as soon as the lawful ruler came to age
