- born near Benaras to Brahman but brought up by Muslim weaver couple
- most famous disciples of Raidas, Guru Nanak, Dhanna
- objective to reconcile Hindus and Muslims and establish harmony between the two sects

- Composition are compiled in "Bijak" and famous for "Ulatbhasi"
- Dialogues between Kabir and Dharamdas termed as "Amarmul"
