During this time the US grew and became much more committed to free trade, international investments and international monetary stability.
Not only that the US agreed to lend military equipment to the UK in return of the promise of the future commitment of this nation to freer trade (and of course to give the equipment back).
The UK and the USA also signed an agreement to fully reduce trade barriers and eliminate all negotiation discriminations.
